Christmas at Hotel D’Angleterre

Christmas facade 2017.

The Hotel d’Angleterre is one of the first deluxe hotels in the world. Situated in the heart of Copenhagen. While its history dates back to 1755, it has been in its current building since a fire, in 1795, damaged the previous building beyond repair. From 1872 to 1875, the building was significantly extended and refurbished by the architects, Vilhelm Dahlerup and Georg E.W. Møller The hotel has long been considered the most prestigious and elegant hotel in the city. Its name is French and means the “England Hotel”

This year, the facade is a tribute to one of the hotels beloved regular guests, Hans Christian Andersen, who is admired locally as well as far beyond the borders of Denmark. The Christmas facade at d’Angleterre were officially revealed on Friday, November 24 at 5PM, accompanied by the Royal Life Guard who played winter and Christmas melodies, before and after the unveiling.

This year’s facade is a Christmas calendar on which we reveal a window every day from December 1 – 24 at 5pm.

We enjoyed sharing this magical afternoon with our guests, neighbors, friends, family and anyone with a love for the magical Christmas season, which started when d’Angleterre’s facade lighted up the winter darkness in Copenhagen.

Several new images in the “Christmas” category has been added to the webshop.
